Arch MI Supports the 2017 FHFA Conforming and High-Cost Loan Limits Increase
On November 23rd, 2016, the Federal Housing Finance Agency (FHFA) announced increases to the conforming loan limits and to some high-cost areas. The increased limits are effective for loans delivered to Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac on or after January 1st, 2017.
Arch MI supports these changes to the increased conforming and high-cost area loan limits.
Scheduled changes to the GSEs’ automated underwriting systems:
- Fannie Mae uploaded these loan limit revisions in Desktop Underwriter® (DU®) during the weekend of December 10th, 2016.
- Freddie Mac uploaded these loan limit revisions in Loan Product AdvisorSM on December 2nd, 2016.
Arch MI will support the FHFA changes in our EZ DecisioningSM, Standard, and Down Payment Assistance/Housing Finance Authority programs where applicable. Effective December 17th, 2016, our systems will be updated to reflect the revised loan limits. Shortly thereafter, we will issue updated Guideline Summaries and Underwriting Manual, which will be posted at archmi.com/guidelines.
